T-Shirt Program

Ten young Ethiopian orphans have been supported and trained by Life Center Ethiopia on the latest innovative graphic design techniques and unique t-shirt design skills. Those 10 young orphans have also been trained in how to set up and manage an environmentally friendly t- shirt printing enterprise. These young orphans have gained the right t-shirt printing knowledge and graduated in 2023 September from a well-recognized training center.

After graduation, the ten orphans have planned to establish a group-based t-shirt printing business because the t-shirt printing business is growing really fast, and the trend of custom t-shirt design has grown tremendously in the past few years in Ethiopia. Everybody wears T-shirts anytime and anywhere.

However, these youngest orphans need a t-shirt maker tool with advanced features so that they can help their customers in creating a design of their own choice with a wider range of options. They can select colors, graphics, fonts, etc. as per the customers taste and style; and they will engage in one of the top profitable businesses in Ethiopia.

Providing the 10 graduated youngest orphans with a t-shirt making tool to start their own group-based t-shirt printing business.

Sewing Machine Program

Life Center Ethiopia has a sewing training center with qualified professional tailoring teachers aimed to help widows and girls’ orphans train for 6 months in basic tailoring and embroidery skills so as to lift them out of poverty and create new jobs in their community. Our efforts are focused to fight against underlying causes of poverty and ensure a life of dignity for all underprivileged women/widows and girls from the most marginalized and vulnerable communities.

So far 50 widows and orphans who received the 6-month rigorous training and graduated from the Life Center sewing training center, some of them received a microloan from Life Center and bought their own sewing machine, started putting and practicing their new skills to good use, established and expanded their own tailoring business successfully.

To strengthen the existing sewing training center with additional 7 sewing machines with accessories, and doubling/tripling the number of graduates’.
